Remark: |
GINC is the GS1 Identification Key used to identify a logical grouping of logistic units. The identification key is comprised of a GS1 Company Prefix and a reference to the group of logistic units. Logistic units in a particular shipment may be associated with different GINCs during various transport stages; for example, when the shipment gets consolidated with other shipments during its journey, and deconsolidated again before it reaches the consignee. The GINC allows freight forwarders and transport providers to keep track of the logistic units being transported together. |
